ANZAC Service
While I am always very proud of our students at Woodvale Senior High School, I was particularly impressed by them and our school at the recent Anzac Day Assembly. These assemblies have been conducted annually for four years now and they seem to get bigger and better each time.
This year’s guests included Ms Andrea Mitchell MLA (Member for Kingsley); Mr Troy Pickard (Mayor City of Joondalup); Retired Brigadier Laurie Palmer AO; Ms Virginia McNamara (President of the WSHS P&C); Mr Shane Bluett (State Coordinator of the Emergency Services Cadets); Ms Marianne Riley (OIC Emergency Services Cadets) and Principals and student representatives from Creaney (Trevor Mitchell) and Hallidon (Bill Hunt) Primary Schools.
It was also great to see a number of parents and other visitors in attendance. Thanks for the organisation of the event (and singer of the National Anthem) go to Ms Lisa Clarke. The leaderships of the cadets and the set up was done by Ms Marianne Riley and Ms Bronwyn Matthews organised and conducted the music students. Our guests were greatly impressed by the Anzac Assembly and the superb attitude and behaviour of the students.
