China Tour
你们好(Hello everyone)! This year’s China trip is looking set to be extraordinary. A group of 13 students and 2 staff will be departing Perth on July 15 for 2 fantastic weeks of adventure in the middle kingdom (China). The first ten days will be spent attending a ‘Summer Camp’ in Beijing, where Woodvale students will represent Australia. At this ‘camp’, students will have to opportunity to meet and greet over 1000 other students from around the world. As well as visiting famous sights such as the Great Wall of China, the 2008 Olympic Village and The Forbidden City, the group will pay a short visit to our sister school in Jinan. Unfortunately our timing has meant that we are unable to spend more time with our good friends in Jinan. Hopefully next year we are able to spend longer there. Our Chinese adventure will be rounded off by a spot of sightseeing and shopping in Shanghai, arguably one of the most modern cities in the world! Many thanks to The Beijing Municipal Education Commission and Michael from the Australian Institute for Educational Leadership (AIEL) for organising the Beijing festivities and to Jetset Woodvale for looking after our travel arrangements.
