Adventures in Aboshi – Japan 2007 Trip

In September a group of 20 Woodvale students went to Japan as part of our sister school exchange program. We spent 3 nights in Tokyo, and 2 weeks with host families in Aboshi, Hyogo Prefecture.

Some of the sights we saw were Tokyo Tower, the Imperial Palace, Ginza, Akihabara – the electronic district, Shibuya, Asakusa – the cultural precinct of Tokyo, Kyoto, Disneyland, Universal Studios and Hiroshima to name just a few!

The transportation was interesting, the food even more interesting, the shopping amazing, and the friendships made will last for some time.

The students learnt a lot about foreign culture and the Japanese way of life. Everyone  as really amazed by the kindness of Japanese people, and many students made the comments the trip was ‘life changing’ and that would definitely return to Japan.
