Catering and Cafe Services at WSC

The Year 12 Hospitality course requires students to complete a number of service functions over two years. These include café service, coffee service and catering for functions. During the first half of the year students have been involved in both breakfast and lunch cafes and catering for the High Achievers morning tea, ANZAC morning tea and Board meetings.

Students also wowed the reviewers during the school’s recent IPS review with breakfast, morning teas and lunch. The students continue to heighten the quality of food prepared and served.

As part of their course, Year 12 students have also been involved in helping in the canteen to receive and store perishable items and often help in food preparation.

This, in conjunction with various service functions, has given students insight into working in real-life environments.
