Dinner Function

The Year 10 Home Economics students were put through their paces on Thursday night of week five when they had to prepare, produce and serve sixty guests with a three course meal.

It was a very stressful time for them as they were under pressure to have the food ready and out to tables in a realistic time frame. Front of house students were expected to take orders and get the correct order out to each person.

The Year 10 students tackled this task well despite no prior experience in a commercial kitchen. All the students involved did an exceptional job by working as a team. We received very positive feedback from the guests about the food, the presentation, service and a variety of character strengths displayed by students, including bravery, perseverance and  teamwork.

Congratulations to the Year 10 students involved on a wonderful effort.
