Interschool Numero Challenge 2016

This year, Woodvale SC was very lucky to have two teams enter the Interschool Numero Challenge. The competition involved students completing four different challenges, either as individuals or teams, under time restraints. We were fortunate to have the head coordinator, Julie Richards, come to our class to provide an intensive training session and share a few competition hints and tips.

Our Year 8 students should be proud of their very pleasing results and of how they conducted themselves under the high pressure conditions. As this was our first year, they were competing against students who were not only older, but had far more experience in these competitions.

We look forward to putting our new Numero skills to use and being even more prepared for the competition in 2017.

Numero is fun and attention deserving game. Being given the opportunity to work with my peers and test myself against others was amazing. I met lots of new people and had a world of fun. Numero is an accessible game for everyone with lots of ways to play. If I were able to be given this opportunity again I wouldn’t hesitate to take it – I might even find a whole new way to play.
