Primary School Concert

On Wednesday 3 August the Symphonic Wind Orchestra, Senior Guitars and Jazz Encounter performed to a welcoming audience at Carramar Primary School (PS).

This is a fantastic, regular opportunity for Woodvale Secondary College (WSC) Specialist Music students to promote the benefits and opportunities provided by playing a musical instrument and more particularly the opportunities offered at WSC. Students who play an instrument develop many skills such as self-discipline, the ability to cooperate and interact with other students of similar interests, skills which are displayed by the WSC Specialist Music students at each primary school concert throughout the year.

Students from the audience at Carramar PS went home excited telling their parents and caregivers about the fun they had listening to the WSC Specialist Music students perform. Carramar PS students particularly enjoyed the "Great Locomotive Chase", a piece that emulates a great steam train adventure.
