Takoyaki Demonstration
41 Year 7-10 students and six staff members enjoyed eating these Japanese style ‘muffins’. Much to the delight of most students, the traditional octopus ingredient was substituted with corn and cheese. Students were unanimous in their rating of the Takoyaki as oishī or hăochī (Japanese and Chinese words for delicious).
Sadly this was Mr Kiyosawa’s last Asian Bridges Club guest appearance, since unfortunately his year with the Woodvale cluster has come to an end. He has been a great asset and will definitely be missed.
Club members will be able to participate in a range of other Asian culture/language activities at our weekly lunch-time meetings on Wednesdays. More students are welcome to join.
Members are also encouraged to attend City of Joondalup’s Twilight Parade, for which Woodvale has made a huge dragon lantern; an initiative of the club.
