Urban Indigenous Art Project

As part of the PALS funding this year we had the opportunity to work with 'Urban Indigenous' to create a mural that represents the Yellagonga wetlands that the school is situated next to.

The Year 10 art class, lead by Sylvia Sippl, worked with two artists. Justin and Caitlyn led the students through a range of symbols that are used to depict people, animals and campsites. Justin also spoke to the students about some of the dream time stories related to the Yellagonga wet lands.

Next year the school will be creating a bush foods garden as part of the PALS funding. Plants will be sourced from Tucker Bush.
