Immunisation is a requirement for entrance into both Primary and Secondary schools.
Up to date Vaccine Schedule for West Australia is found on the Department of Health website:   www.
When entering Secondary school, students are required to be fully vaccinated against M (measles) M (mumps) Rubella (german measles). This vaccine is given at age 1 year and again at 4 years.
Diptheria, Tetanus and Whooping Cough, Hepatitis B and Chicken Pox are updated in Year 7.
Parents and carers (including grandparents) who will be in close contact with newborn babies should ensure that Whooping Cough immunisation is up to date. In 2011 the incidence of Whooping Cough increased alarmingly in newborn babies, and the Department of Health made available free vaccines for the families of newborns.
