Trade Training Centre

Woodvale’s Trade Training Centre is home to our commercial kitchen and enclosed café. Students in Years 11 and 12 can select a to study a Certificate II Hospitality, Kitchen Operations which is completed at the College using this centre. As part of the qualification we run a Coffee Café every morning and sell coffee, tea, hot chocolate and more to staff, visitors and our student body.

The Trade Training Centre hosts a variety of functions throughout the year including breakfasts, luncheons, dinners and high teas. Availability for booking these functions will be advertised on the College Facebook Page.

The Trade Training Centre is also available for use by community groups and other organisations who may wish to hold a function catered by our students in our wonderful restaurant. Bookings can be made between March and October. Please feel free to email us to discuss your function requirements large or small.

Our Partnership with No Limits Perth

Woodvale Secondary College is proud to partner with No Limits Perth, a grassroots charity that has been supporting communities across Perth’s northern suburbs since 2015.

No Limits Perth provides essential emergency relief – including food, clothing, furniture, toiletries, and advocacy – to individuals and families in crisis. Their compassionate services are delivered completely free of charge, reaching those experiencing homelessness, financial hardship, family and domestic violence, and health-related displacement.

In addition to “starting over” support, No Limits Perth operates:

  • Food distribution three days per week
  • A fortnightly Community Services Support Hub in Wanneroo and Joondalup
  • A Community Cooking Program that delivers prepared meals to families in crisis and to two local schools, ensuring no child goes without food

How Woodvale Supports No Limits

At Woodvale, our staff and students regularly participate in Community Cooking Sessions, preparing home-cooked meals in our Trade Training Centre. These meals are then donated to families and individuals in need – no charge, no judgement.

This meaningful partnership offers students and staff a powerful opportunity to:

  • Build empathy and awareness of real-world issues.
  • Engage in meaningful community service.
  • Experience the positive impact of kindness, teamwork, and youth-led change.

Community in Action

This collaboration is more than just meal preparation. It’s about dignity, compassion, and creating long-lasting impact. Every contribution – whether it’s a cooked meal, a donated item, or a volunteered hour — helps create a stronger, more connected community.

How You Can Get Involved

  • Volunteer as an individual or group — assist at community hubs or cooking sessions.
  • Donate pantry staples, hygiene products, tents, sleeping bags, or backpacks.
  • Fundraise or host donation drives at school, work, or local events.
  • Support No Limits Perth’s annual fundraiser
  • Partner with No Limits Perth through corporate or school community service programs.

We are incredibly proud of our partnership with No Limits Perth – a true reflection of the values we hold as a College community.
