
At Woodvale Secondary College, we are passionate about nurturing creativity and talent from an early age. Our Arts Xperience events offer primary school students exciting opportunities to explore the vibrant world of Visual Arts, Media, Drama, and Music in a high school setting. These hands-on experiences are designed to ease the transition to secondary school, build confidence and inspire a love for the Arts. Guided by our teachers and enthusiastic student mentors, participants can immerse themselves in dynamic workshops that showcase the creative opportunities awaiting them at Woodvale.
The College has previously hosted events such as Day of Voice, Day of Guitar, Afternoon of Voice, Dramalama classes and Arts clubs.
We’re excited to welcome Year 5 and 6 IMSS students to our Music Day Camp — a full day of music, teamwork, and fun at Woodvale Secondary College!
Students will take part in a range of hands-on activities, including:
The camp is designed to support the transition into secondary school by fostering collaboration, creativity and confidence. It also provides an opportunity for students to connect with our staff, current Year 7s, and other young musicians in a welcoming environment.

Who: Year 5 IMSS students, Year 6 students enrolled in the Specialist Music Program for 2026 (voice, guitar, or new instrument), interested Year 5 vocalists, and current Year 7 Music students
What to bring: Instrument, morning/afternoon tea, lunch, and a drink bottle

Woodvale invites Year 5 students to experience our AEE and Elite Programs at the College.
Students explore hands-on activities such as science experiments, VR, basketball, music and creative communication workshops, led by our staff and student leaders.
Families are invited to register their Year 5 child for the upcoming Elite Program Taster Afternoon on Thursday 20 November.

Woodvale Secondary College is proud to offer engaging Physical Education Xperience events designed to give primary school students a fun and active introduction to high school sports, particularly Basketball and Athletics. These sessions provide an opportunity to experience our state-of-the-art facilities including our three court stadium, participate in team-based activities and build positive connections with our staff and student leaders. Our Physical Education Xperience transition events help students feel more prepared and excited about their move to Woodvale Seconday College.
Woodvale annually hosts a 3×3 Basketball Tournament for Year 4 and 5 students. Teams of 4 or 5 students compete in a series of round robin 3×3 games(modified FIBA rules) in the College Sports Centre.
Games are eight minute game play with a two minute break.
At Woodvale Secondary College, our STEM Xperience events offer primary school students a hands-on introduction to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in our purpose-built STEMLab. These exciting sessions are designed to spark curiosity, foster problem-solving skills and showcase the innovative learning experiences available at high school. Guided by experienced staff and student mentors, participants explore real-world challenges through engaging experiments, coding activities and engineering tasks.
Our STEMLab is a dynamic, collaborative space where young minds can imagine, create and innovate — and we’re excited to open its doors to the next generation of thinkers and creators.
The College has previously hosted interactive extravaganzas including: Our Place in the Cosmos, STEM Fair, # Day Sprint into Engineering Workshop, Lego League Competitions – as well as small workshops for Robotics and Coding and microbiology.
Students will enjoy a series of three fun and engaging STEM focused engineering workshops, exploring how things work through hands on activities(building/making) and use of the Woodvale FabLab (3D print & Laser Cutting).
The final session will be extended to include a robot build and programming activity.
